What was the clients desire?

The KNZB had a desire to organize their annual Trainings Camp in Italy. It was looking for a qualified Tour Operator to rely on for all logistical and organizational aspects of their trip with the result to have athletes and coaches only to be focused and their trainings.

Together with Marco van den Brink, the Team Manager Paralympic Swimming at KNZB we started with great pleasure to work on the program for their training camp to finally be able to send a high end tailor made offer that fulfilled all their special requirements.

The tailor-made offer

The Bella Italia Village in Lignano was chosen as the most suitable sport facility as it offers an onsite indoor Olympic size swimming pool including all instruments requested for high quality trainings.

For the fourteen Paralympic athletes we offered double and single rooms at the Hotel Villa Primavera at the Bella Italia Village in Lignano. The hotel was assigned in exclusivity for the ‘Para Team’. The hotel is located at 25 meters from the entrance of the swimming pool. For the team’s physiotherapist an extra room was assigned for the daily checks of the athletes and occasional massages. The requested massage table was supplied by the Bella Italia Village.

The hotel kitchen was informed by the special athletes’ nutritional requirements and took care of all necessary adjustments and any extra daily requests. The team was assigned a private buffet dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinners.

The five to six lanes in the 50 meters swimming pool were booked in advance for their daily trainings in the morning and afternoon. The fitness room inside the sport facility was the athletes’ disposal after every morning training for the requested strengths trainings. Any extra instruments requested during their trainings, like clocking material, was provided by the Bella Italia Village.

For the logistical aspect of the training camp we activated our network of transport suppliers that were able to offer good quality coach transfers and taxi transfers from the airport of Venice to the Bella Italia Village.

The manager of the Hotel Villa Primavera, the sport staff of the Bella Italia Village and our assistants in the office, were at complete disposal for the swimming team and their coaches to resolve any critical local issues.

The camp was organized in complete safety for each Paralympic Swimming Team participant.

A satisfying cooperation
